When we bought our first farm 20 years ago, we were novices with a sense of humour, which turned out to be our saving grace. After droughts, fires, floods and seasonal fluctuations in production, we realised we needed to find a better way to utilise surplus harvests. This is our story and the methods we used to develop a very profitable luxury product line from our harvest. Our products have travelled all over the globe since we started just eight years ago.
This could be your blueprint, too albeit with a touch of humour.
"Imagine your tomatoes having a secret life. When the sun sets and the farmer takes a well-deserved break, these juicy gems gather around in the pantry and gossip about their dreams of becoming gourmet sauces or vibrant salsas. Sure, they might have started as simple garden staples, but deep down, they crave the limelight of the dinner table, yearning for their moment of culinary glory. Let’s face it, who wants to be just a salad ingredient when you could be a star in a homemade marinara or a zesty pico de gallo?"
